Introduction to Locke Park

Locke Park.  There are 47 acres of Barnsley’s Locke Park, only a mile from Barnsley’s town centre, with gardens, trees and open grass, historic tower and bandstand, bowling greens, games and play areas,  and a café.

Come to the park to have walks and have picnics, take your children to the play area, meet up with friends, visit the café, play games, get exercise, enjoy the views and heritage, and have  a good time.

Get to Locke Park on foot from Park Road. 44 & 43  buses stop on Park Road near the entrances.
The Car Park is off Keresforth Hall Road, S70 6NF, – just follow the signs.

Once it is possible, we intend having meetings again. They are usually on the first Tuesday of the month at 6pm at Locke Park Cafe. We are always keen to hear your views.

Friends of Locke Park is a group of volunteers who are interested in preserving the heritage of Locke Park and in improving the Park and its facilities for everyone.
